I like how the author takes each of Audreys fears into consideration.
Like yes she loves forensic study yes she loves science.
But now she also fears it more than anything because of the ripper.
And yes she loves her friend Thomas and she wants to be with him.
But shes terrified of him caging her in some way as any man would back in that age. Women were merely property, afterall.
