If I have to hear 'my mate' instead of her just using his name one more time, I quit. Which means I'm quitting lol. God this is insufferable, we KNOW he's your mate. I don't say 'my wife' when talking to friends. Why 'my mate' is on every single page at this point...ugh.

This book's pacing is atrocious. Maas too often decided to tell us something cool happens AFTER it happens and the characters are all safe elsewhere (ie: siccing the bogge on the twins)...why can't we experience that in real time?! That would have been freaking cool, but no, we get pages and pages of dinner talk instead. Infuriating.

Also, too many throat bobbing descriptions in this, and "as I/he/she" sentences...
