The thought that you an philosophize your way out of grief is a nice, impossible thought. Seneca himself fails to prove this point when he weeps greatly at the lose of a close friend. Thinking is powerful, but it can't Trump physiological manifestation, you can't cut out grief by thought anymore than you can talk yourself out of a mental illness. Brain chemistry is not in human control, it belongs to the body.
