Now the bloodsworn camp in the ruins of orkas steading and decide they need a new chief when Varg suggests they also need a home that isn’t just a drakkar for the children and the battle weary and the old to which they all agree and agree to set it up in orkas old steading

Orka returns to her steading which is now just a ruin to bury spert and tell thorkel that he is avenged. She is followed by vesli taras Iva svik edel rokia vol and sulich and the remaining bloodsworn as they bury the body of glornir next to his kin thorkel after refusing ulfrirs offer to bury him next to Elvar in a place of honour for the heroes of the battle

There she dies like snaka did through the poison in hrung which spread through her body in black lines. Her death scatters the remaining vaesen and ulfrir howls in victory leaning on skuld from his injuries. Orka breca and vol cry over the dying body of glornir who’s mail has been torn to shreds and his body torn as well revealing bone and a lung beneath

Glornir and Orka leap onto lik rifa and clamber over to her jaws where the slash and cut until one side of her jaw hangs loose. They are then thrown from her as she breaks free of ulfrir and the seidr spells that tied her down and swipes at Orka who lies injured. Glornir pushes her away and takes the blow and lik rifa lunges again with her jaws but taras throws hrung into her mouth instead

Taras and Iva leave the field of combat after Taras’ injuries while two trolls attack the stone wolf mauling rotta. Aesa rushes over and kills one of the trolls but is smashed to a pulp by the other which Varg rokia svik and edel kill. They then face rotta who is quickly dragged into the air by grok and klo and then dropped which seems to kill him

With all their grudges fulfilled ulfrir is still locked in combat with lik rifa both of them severely injured as their factions rally to them. Orka runs to help Glornir who is locked in combat with dragon cultists and kill them from the flank. Now skuld flys down to just above ulfrir and blows a horn signaling some plan just as ulfrir jumps at lik rifa again

Biorr sits with fain in the wagon protecting the children as faunir come to reinforce ulfrir. Here biorr convinces fain to bring the children out of the battle as they will be free either way while biorr returns bjarn to uspa and berak who cry with happiness at his return. Rotta calls for biorrs help but he refuses as Gunnar attacks biorr and kills him avenging revna

Orka catches drekr by surprise with her crew swarming around the raven feeders as they clean up jarl orlygs drengrs, now she is locked in combat with drekr and bests him slicing him across the cheek with the frost spider venom which paralyses him. Now she calls breca over and shows breca where to kill a person like the sea serpent teaching her young. Orka shows breca to slice drekr across the throat, killing him

Lif engaged Gudvarr in combat to which Gudvarr pushes him back into a frost spider and makes to escape when lif kills the spider and then kills Gudvarr, hooking his shield with his bearded axe then punching the axe into gudvarrs face and swiftly killing him after

Varg catches braks crew by surprise killing many of them and freeing taras from their onslaught. Now he engages brak in a one on one where he lets brak think he is winning but then pounces on him with his wolf strength and pins him to a tree with a seax through his belly. Now refna and the children join in stabbing and slashing brak for killing einar
