This book's structure is very interesting. Usually the central plot of this series becomes evident quickly, but this book's plot IS FINALLY SHOWING UP. I don't mind, since it's not recycled mechanics this time. Also, the YA romance is getting quite prominent. Again, why is this series labeled as middle-schooler? The appearance of Holly shakes things up a bit, but I fear the original trio will never be the same again.

Huh. Looks like I'm back despite the second book's disappointments. Unfortunately, it does not continue pulling the thread that was left by the second book, so at least 80% of Lockwood's mysteriousness is still intact ;)
