Kinchan of the Painted Brows must be the best story I've read in this book. It shows the internal struggle of a father who wants his son be independent, yet cannot sit idly by while danger threatens him.
A gripping 45 minute read, having me flipping the pages wanting to know what happens next to the characters and the motives for both sides.
Plus we as a reader get addressed in the story as well, very fun!

I like the way Ikenami describes things, from nature to peoples actipns, and the way he returns from an explanation to the subject at hand.
It is very Japanese though, a lot of Japanese words and new names appears in almost every page, the translator explains some in the foreword but it is still a bit confusing for me.
So far, the premise is interesting and I am looking forward to reading more!
