It’s quite endearing….unless you have a mouse phobia, in which case absolutely do not read.

Went back for one more chapter. My poor little heartstrings….ting, ting, ting.

It’s gone from cold to tepid, although the amounts of scenes with nekkid grandma in the bath makes me think the author has some fetish.

The mouse has arrived!

“Dawn has come and mornings pale cheek is flat upon the world” is just an obnoxiously pretentious sentence.

And fyi, what the eff is this woman doing? This book only has two hundred pages left so quit the dilly dallying and tell the damn story.

This is my rec for book club this month and I’m already worried. There’s something stylistically strange about the prose. Is the author’s first language English? Or is the author just Mensa smart and likes to use a unique style? Please be good.
