It’s not my favorite work by her but definitely still good. She had a habit of repeating herself and Elsie isn’t a very strong character, but this is a book about processing grief so I don’t think many of her actions are typical. I don’t think I like the insta-love and wonder if this story might have been better if they had known each other for a year instead but I do enjoy it.
