Character-driven narration. (Also, some more-than-usual focus on the plot).

The romance is well-written. Arin is constantly yearning for Kestrel since book 2, and I can feel it.

There's no magic involved in this book [Besides gods (Dystopian/Politics/War/Tactics/Strategy/clever thought processing)].

I sometimes stop reading and take veryyyy loooong breaks, especially if I do not update regularly. [Hence these frequent updates].
