Awesome Idea of Fagin becoming Jack the Ripper. We need a sequel for that. Maybe include prior and current literary figures of the time (1888). Victoria was still alive at the time as stated on the last page but the Artful Dodger would be well past his fifties.

As a Librarian and avid reader I thought things were amiss. I'm not sure if mass population wouldn't question all of these oddities together. Never the less this was entertaining and held the integrity of each character/ideas according to their creators.

Also Queen Victoria started her reign in 1837 so again the timeline is off.
1820/1830s Death Penalty Reforms were not carried out for thief. Because Fagin was hanged for murder it is accurate punishment but the locations for hanging were particular at the time. Public executions took place mostly at New Gate and Tyburn.

Story took place in 1834 - 3 years b4 Oliver Twist began being published as a serial (1837-1839).
This GN took place after Oliver Twist so sometime 1839 on.
Dracula - Any reference to name was first published in 1897
Sherlock Holmes/Baker Street Irregulars were mentioned in A Study of Scarlet 1887

This was fantastic. Entertaining but literary impossible (no pun intended).
Similar to The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen with characters ranging in Victorian England. These characters (minus Orlando and Carnaki) all fall into the proper time of the story.
