Fifth book dismissed on the basis of MC swooning over a man who's going to kill her.

I'm so close to the end of the fourth book, but I can't keep going because the MC is an idiot. The only characters I like are minor anyway

Stealer, the first book, was pretty good! I'd read more by the author.
