(continued). It seems likely to me that "higher desire" women, if they're ±20% of the population as stated in the book, are actually quite normal, then. One in five means the experience is a variation of normal. And "low desire" men, if as prevalent as stated, are normal as well. Normal people with no outstanding issues get married and just find themselves at opposite ends of the standard deviation. C'est la vie.

(continued). The real issue is how sex is talked and advised about in Christian circles. Wish I could publish some of the comments I received in the week before my wedding. Singed my eyebrows off. I feel bad for women on the low side of normal but the assumption that low desire in women IS the norm is damaging to everyone and results in some of the worst advice I've ever heard

Everything I was told about married sex prior to marriage was magnificently unhelpful. This isn't the most theologically rigorous book out there, but the fact that it's literally the only one addressing high desire women really says something. Anecdotally, the epidemic of low desire men is spreading rapidly, and there is no shortage of resources about that... Unfortunately these two often end up married to each other
