This was the first Goosebumps book I ever read, and I only read it once so I don’t really remember it, but I’m a little surprised it didn’t turn me off the series for good. (It didn’t; I was eight or nine and not yet 100% put off by mean people.) Lucy is among the least pleasant of Stine’s protagonists.
