I was shocked to see tears in his eyes. “If anything ever happened to you, I don’t know what I would do. I love you so f-ing much.” There was no denying our feelings anymore and the words spilled out of my mouth.
“I love you too.”
His eyes light with joy and his lips twisted into a satisfied smirk.
“My Angel,” he breathed out. “I’m your first, last, forever and always.”

“All of you, every inch, is mine to cherish. To protect.” The promise in his tone scared me because it made me feel safe and protected. I was overwhelmed by the intensity of my feelings for Morgan and had been since the day we met. Every day since then, he had done everything in his power to give me anything I could ever want. Not just things, though. He gave himself to me too, and that’s what I was afraid of most.

“My father hasn’t been a part of my life in years. What could he have possibly done that would pull me into something from which I’d need rescuing.”
“He apparently has a gambling problem. A big one,” he emphasized. “And along with his problem comes a debt to a gang of men who won’t think twice about kidnapping you and selling you to the highest bidder if it means getting the money he owes them.”

“I’ll make sure your car gets back to the house, but don’t expect to find the keys in your hand anytime soon after the stunt you just pulled.”
“I thought it was my car.”
“I wouldn’t push me right now, Angel. You’ll drive the car again when I say you can and not a moment earlier.”
“You may be my boss, but you’re not the boss of me outside work,” I snapped. “You’re going to regret saying that," Morgan growled.

“The time I spend with you is never a waste, Angel.”
“Then why did it seem like you wished you were anywhere other than with me today?” she asked, sounding hurt and lost.
“Because there was nothing I could do to take the pain away for you." “I didn’t ask you to,” she murmured, tears welling in her eyes. “You need to get used to me taking care of you.”
“But why?”
“Because I always take care of what’s mine.”

He was hot, confident and wealthy. I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that women probably threw themselves at him on a regular basis. Meanwhile, I was young, broke and inexperienced. How the hell could anything between us ever work? Especially if he was my boss.

“Angelica, you seem a little too innocent to be here.” If the glare she shot at me was any indication, she didn’t much like my comment.
“It can’t be that bad. It’s not like I wore a ton of clothes when I used to do gymnastics.” A gymnast? Holy eff!
“Doing flips and shit dressed in some leotard and tights is nothing like strutting your stuff buck ass naked on my stage, Angel,”I argued.

I pounded the pavement for a few days trying to find a job that would pay my living expenses and leave enough money for school before I finally gave up hope. I needed to come up with a better plan, and as I did some research online, I found myself at the strip club engine trying to figure out if I could put my years of gymnastics lessons to good use on the pole and make enough money to save myself from ruin.
