I'm really interested in this book, but it will have to be backburnered for a minute. While fascinating and well researched, the format is a bit dry and difficult to follow. The way it feels written for historians makes me feel like I'm missing a lot of what the author's trying to convey. She'll mention really dramatic-sounding facts or quotes, with little explanation.
