George and Lennie have started working on a ranch and are getting to know the other workers. Their dream of owning land becomes more important throughout story. One quote that stood out to me was " Guys like us, that work on ranches are the loneliest guys in the world." This shows George and Lennie are different from the other workers because they have eachother. I am interested to see if their dream will come true.

In the first 1/3 of Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, George an dLennie travel to a ranch to find work. George looks after Lennie, who often gets into trouble without meaning to. I like how the book shows their friendship and their dream of owning their own farm. The characters make the story interestin. So far I have really enjoyed the book and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
