POV-3rd person omniscient
Level up has a narrator that speaks from everyone's POV, but mainly focuses on Keenan's POV (Keenan is the main character). The narrator knows the thoughts and feelings of every character but it is a lot less often where they actually speak about them. I can tell this is the perspective from which a narrative is told because there are multiple parts of the book where the POV switches.

PROTAGONIST 9/22-28 pg. 17-112
The protagonist of this story is Keenan, a kid in middle school that is very anxious about every little thing, and also is pretty funny sometimes. He is trying to start a "new life" in Tennessee away from his dad, who doesn't want him. Keenan, his mom, and his dog Leo move away to Keenan's grandma's house. Keenan has to start over with everything and it's very hard for him.

The setting of this book is complicated because it takes place in many different areas, but I will name some of the main locations.
Grandma's house (the book hasn't revealed her name yet)
Tennessee (in a neighborhood where his mother used to live)
The School
It hasn't said the exact point of time the book is placed in, but estimating on how the people act and talk, it would be somewhere in the 2000s.
