This book is making me feel stupid. It's like the orb of confusion but book form. Like is Preston's new found magic and sense of this new self some possession? Is it the elf king that had came back from the first book? But that wouldn't be right because of the relations to the other stories and their similarities to his characterization in this magic world of Preston's. I'm just... my brain hurts.
