This book takes place about 8 years after the end of The Giver. Jonas and Gabe made it to Elsewhere. It takes place about 6 years after Matt took Christopher/Seer to see Kira (end of Gathering Blue). Which I guess means that Gathering Blue took place 2 years after The Giver.
