This book had such a cute romance, but it also had strong themes of feminism, confidence growth and character development for both Nora and Derek, friendship with Derek and his teammates, and so many cute/funny/relatable quotes! I also absolutely loved the humor of Nora’s wit and internal dialogue and just loved the sarcasm/banter/humor of Sarah Adam’s writing. I want to read more of her books!

she’s doing something with her hand now. A round-and-round gesture. Nora is a real full-body-conversation type of person.
“What are you doing with your hand?” I ask
“Rolling up my window so we don’t talk anymore. You’re free of me.”
“You can have an imaginary car in the world, and you choose one with a manual window crank?”

I literally laughed out loud at this!

“But here’s the thing, I refuse to let the absolute corn nuts take the wonder out of smiling for me.” I love this insult, “corn nuts” LOL
