I remember more of this book than I did The Talisman. My memory is just a little fuzzy around the edges. Or maybe I'm mixing things up that happen later. At any rate, this is every bit as good the second time around - if not better.

I have toured French Landing enough to see some Awful Things. I've now settled down at Jack Sawyer's house. I've already seen so much that calls back to both The Talisman and the Dark Tower series, both in passing and outright! I almost cried when I met up with adult Jack after JUST reading The Talisman. This man has Seen Things. 🖤

I forgot how much we need to read about French Landing before we ever find Jack Sawyer in this book.
