When I first read this I was in my early twenties, a little older than Carrie. Re-reading this, I'm now older than Kilroy, and find I have zero tolerance for him this time around lol. Still a great book though. I'm just much less caught up in Carrie's angst and more waiting for her to grow up. The descriptions of fabrics and fashion are gorgeous.

Though I also stayed far too long in mediocre relationships with older men mostly because I was trying to "Be different," and I wasn't even 23 at the time, so how can I fault Carrie for all of this.
