Es ist wirklich faszinierend wie manche Autoren sich aus Versehen in die richtigen Kritiken an der stalinistischen Bürokratie stolpern (und gleichzeitig komplett bonkers Sachen über die Russische Revolution behaupten [bspw dass man den die Autokratie des Zarenreich einfach übernahm])

I think the political impotence and distinct lack of answers of the collectives and liberal-left spectrum of the newly emerging parties in the former GDR foreshadowed the death of liberal-left-ism as a whole ~20-30 years later as they were confronted with the task of reforming/reshaping a system that was already historically more progressive than they were.
