I could read this book for another 2000 pages but I’m glad we’re finally setting up the primary conflict here? Likely between this guy and strange / norrell who have their own issues.

I wonder if segundus ever becomes a third practical magician who plays into all this…

Man I’m loving this book, but I’m definitely starting to realize how long it actually is. Not that I’m complaining!

Also the longer this goes on the less I like Mr Norrell. Although I have a lot of pity for him at the same time. Also segundus is the third magician?

Really liking this academic / history book approach to the novel so far. This slower pace is definitely more enjoyable to me and all the tidbits of history and footnotes is very interesting.

I wonder where it will go? Will Mr Norrell join the English army? When will his apprentice enter the story?
