I feel like I’m enjoying the lore but it’s sitting right at a 4 out of 5. A little slow for my taste but I’ve yet to hit 50% progress. I liked this quote: The inscription reads as follows: WHEN WE SEEK TO RULE ONLY OURSELVES, WE ARE EACH OF US KINGS.

Gorgons are cool.

This book has been kind of tough to get through. I find myself more interested in stories that more heavily involve or include magic or that involve beings with supernatural powers. I suppose this book, maybe isn’t “high fantasy”, I still enjoy it but I’m tempted to give it a 3.5/5 (for now). It’s fun and interesting, just hard to read on my phone with Bookwise.

Breeding monsters just to fight them is wild.

Moog is such a wildcard, I never know what he is going to do or whether or not it is good for the team or not. Wizard characters are always interesting to me and I think something I am going to continue to enjoy is seeing how differently they are represented from author to author/book to book.

Magic orbs are cool. Lady Jaine and the Silk Arrows are an interesting group.

Lilith is crazy and I have a feeling she is going to come back later one for revenge or something.. so far, this story has been good! 4 out of 5 so far, but I’m only 26% of the way through it
