Well, I have a lot of questions to be directed at the Old Testament. For instance, why does God reveal himself to Moses and not to the Pharaoh of Egypt? Why does he favor the Israelites over other groups of people?

It feels clear to me this is not the same Christian God, but a god of old times, one that is harsh and wrathful, like the Iron Age this was likely written in.
