Why is it starting to feel childish? And the gargoyle is really there just to add absurdity for no reason - this really kills that first gothic /mysterious impression

These last few chapters are a bit disappointing: the change of scenes and moods is a bit abrupt and unwarranted, also we get the usual "I was an innocent girl without the knowledge about the real world and now I defeat experienced warriors"
