FBI agent Pachenco warn Lacy that the informant or what Myers call the Whistler is in danger by tap phone lines. She try and reach the Whistler.

It implied that Vonn DuBose dispose of him when he talk to Judge Claudia McDover about him. He even know he is Ramsey Mix. He got disbarred. He lived in a boat with a mexican wife. She has no one to talk to. She also said Cooley fled. It only Lacy Stoltz.

The lighter part of the story. FBI Pacheco and Lacy seems to like each other a lot. It a welcoming subplot where making money is all there is. Scheming to kill for it is natural as breathing air. Corrupt Judge Claudia McDover talk to Vonn DuBose himself. He said they had nothing. He tell her that if she retires? They will stop. She is relying her lawyers.

The FBI has the resources and skills to take the many dead bodies pilling in the case. They got Foreman. They got Westbay. The story show that it really not police procedural, but the judicial part. There are lawyers present when they are apprehended and approach. They are hired to cause an accident. It was graphic how he tell the incident. The guy went through the windshield.

Michael and Lacy talk about situation and the the case of Junior Mace doing time in death row. He is arrested, trialed, and convicted of murdering his wife Elieen and Son Rouzko. They suspect Vonn DuBose has a hand on it. They talk that their are lawyers and not cops. We need to inform the FBI. The FBI office is ten minutes walk from the Board of Judicial Conduct.

They couldn't find Greg Myers for five days. Grey approach Lacy. She did ask her if she want to walk away. Go on with whatever she was doing. He would have to something else. She answer that people she know got killed and more determine that ever. She show that the guy is considerate about the people who he informs especially life and death in situations and the woman show the flare of pursuing a notorious killer.

The boss of Lacy and Hugo, Michael got the news and hits him hard emotionally. The funeral for his associates was nearly two thousands. There was at least four people who did the eulogy. One of them was a former drug user and thanks Hugo for it. Michael cried. Two days in coma, Lacy started to be awake.
