Starting this book now because I simply cannot go straight from The Count of Monte Cristo into modern fantasy.

I have to have another classic to go in to. I love that my love of classics is coming back.

Also, isn’t this edition simply gorgeous?! It’s a painted version from Books-A-Million.

I liked this one a lot when I read it. It's not like any of the movies or anything I expected though. I had somehow got the wrong idea what this was (like a ghost story mixed with a romance?) from a book cover I'd seen as a kid. It's something else entirely. But I enjoyed it.
