Oh I had forgotten how lush Anne Rice’s writing was. How much more to the story there was besides love. Lestat was in love, but you don’t last centuries just for love. Lestat was curious about the world, about philosophy and eternity and what it meant to be human. It’s so different to read this in middle age and be his age.
