Love how he elaborates on emotions. Being able to put words around their anger meant it was different from what he was feeling. His anger felt ravenous, supernatural…

Reminds me of when I was in the midst of grief. I was stumbling over my words and feelings. I kept it brief when talking about my feelings. In the moment, it was felt like feelings soup, feelings jambalaya as Ted Lasso would say.

Chap. 1: He compares palliative care to his recovery journey. It numbs for a second but doesn’t send the suffering away.

Someone told me this book was their fave of the year. Said it will speak to you depending on the season of their life.

So far so good
