For real? I've heard of this series for YEARS and owned them for about 4 and just got around to it.

But yes, I enjoyed them. I don't remember exactly what happens except for the premise that those who hold out on their magic go insane, but I remember feeling happy and curious as I read along.
Heeeey Class of '09 here as well! But I know what you mean! They either use magic and die young or don't use it and go insane. The premise is really good and I'm here wondering what the hell is going to happen! I shall find out soon.
