Weeding my library, I pulled 5 anthologies to potentially send off, decided to give this and one other a try. I'm not sure what "cyberpunk" is precisely, and the introduction was useless in addressing that. But first story, "Fondly Fahrenheit" by Alfred Bester (1954) was worthwhile.

Thought "We Can Remember It for you Wholesale" was worth reading. I've already read the next story, "The Girl Who Was Plugged In" by James Tiptree, Jr., who is a favorite author of mine. But skimming through, I realized I don't feel strongly enough about this genre to finish this book. I have so many other books I want to read.

This has been on my bedside table for over 2 years, untouched, with a bookmark in it. Was almost going to just donate it, but saw the next story is “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick, whom I’ve heard good things about, even if I didn’t love the one novel of his I’ve read (Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said). Not committing to reading this whole book, but giving it another try.
