Wtf. V awakens 12hrs later carried in by Imogen & Andarna w/ wedding ring & marriage certificate from head priestess of Dunne. X’s note don’t look for me, it’s yours now: Tyrrendor? Brennan’s guards looked shocked, is V venin & changed? Still broken arm. Brennan is stunned. Imogen’s creepy look saying she did what V asked her to do. Wtf did she ask her to do?! Bodhi missing? Garrick is for sure. Or a dream?

Panchek has been selling secrets to Sage Berwyn. Berwyn kills his dragon w/ a dagger, so does Panchek die or become venin? X loses it after Sgaeyl’s netted & overchannels from the ground, knocks Sage unconscious, helps V so she can stab T, his shadows surround all and he crushes all wyvern hearts killing them all. But now X is past initiate, Tairn won’t let him see V, & X can’t kill his own Sage.

Badass final showdown w/ T. Aaric’s an obvi true precog & his gift stone dagger from Dunne high priestess kills T, since she turned her back on Dunne. The net was wild. X holds her w/ shadows in darkness. V’s broken arm is painful. Her wielding is burning her out and Andarna shows up at T’s desiccation whispering Violet, then V blacks out. Next is Xaden’s chapter.

V chases T into the mountains after nearly burning out taking down many new wyvern & venin. Imogen gets a chapter & she’s battling like a badass, her dragon counting kills. Her 2nd signet is stonewielding, which protects her & Dain atop a wall racing toward Quinn’s turret. They save women & children. Quinn gets stabbed by venin but Imogen’s stabbed it, but Quinn dies in her arms. BFFs. Imogen loves Garrick.

Mira stalks off angrily, takes 3-day leave. X preps Bodhi for succession. Rune practice improving due to Quinn. Theophanie arrives w/ many dragons & demands Jack & Violet in exchange for Mira whom she’s kidnapped. T kills Jack for secrets he could spill, slits Mira’s throat, Brennan tries to mend, Sloane siphons Dain to save her. Tairn takes dragon away. T&V battle & T is really stormwielder. Rhi’s ch. good too

Leothan, the irid of Andarna’s den, saved the day & gives her the choice of staying or leaving w/ him to learn their ways. Andarna breaks bond w/ V & flies off, leaving V devastated for 3+ days. Refugees flood into Tyrrendor. Mira & Brennan argue about V’s infant Dunne dedication being incomplete & she may turn venin, but V overhears & says their dad did it, hence mom’s missing journals. X reveals he’s venin.

Sawyer manages to ride again. Crew arrives for Aretian training. More sex chapters. Brennan knows X is venin & can’t mend him. Alarms sound incoming wyvern & Aaric tells V protecting Dunne temple is how she saves Tyrrendor. Futuresight signet? Theophanie appears but escapes before wards reestablished, though many wyvern fall. Tairn injured. Irids appear saving the day. Great chapter endings.

Irids reject Andarna & think V is awful for bonding as a juvenile. Ridoc walks in on X venin talk & is pissed at V, so he says V must tell their squad too. Andarna is super bummed & absent. V & Tairn do well in flight (dis)mounts. X & Calldyr + Halden argue over X opening Tyrrendor to refugees. Aaric sides w/ X. Only weeks left til venin come as wards failing. Theophanie’s creepy letter upon their isle return!

Unnbriel queen made to yield in combat by Vi, though wants 12 eggs for alliance; nah. Their people have silver hair & high priestess asks V about her being offered. They fly to Hedotis where X’s mom Talis remarried a leader, Faris, & had new fam. Faris tried to poison them, got Garrick, but V’s plan of Ainment counterpoison, stalking kids, & finding antidote led to forced alliance. Very badass quest squad.

Another meh sex scene, but interrupted by co @ door saying Halden’s been taken captive by King Courtlyn. X&V arrive to negotiate & King stabs Halden in hand w/ his dagger gift. Halden sucks. His guard/gf Anna was decapitated, head on table w/ white panthers feasting on her, and he argues about bad trades so he had her steal back goods. King is right. X tries to take over but King says to kill all but Tecarus.
