Mallory runs after this old lady, Magnus and Sam both follow her. Mallory thinks it’s Loki but found out who she held this hate for was her mother. Then, they’re directed to get the mead and Mallory outsmarts the slaves to get them to kill themselves going for the stone. To get the mead they get help from Gunlop, who is being held hostage. They get it but the two eagles are there to kill the group.

So Magnus and Blitz returned the ring and avoided temptation. Then, Hearth’s destiny was to eat his father’s heart/blood but Magnus, Blitz, and Jack tried to stop him. Magnus lost control and he was the one that ended up tasting it, which Hearth thanked him for. Side effects present as Magnus saw birds talking about him. They return to the crew and make it to Flan where they split up to look for the train.

Hearth realizes that since his father is turning into a monster that he has to kill him and get the whetstone. Magnus and Blitz don’t want him to do this though, so the plan is for Magnus to hide in the dirt and strike the dragon right in the belly with Jack. Hearth summons his brother to distract his dad, then Blitz stands up for Hearth and in the end Magnus strikes the dragon in the belly.

They stop Hrungnir and Mokkerkalfe. Magnus healed Alex and TJ, they find out they must go to Norway to get to Kvasir’s mead, then TJ kills Hrungnir. Next, they meet up with the rest of the gang. Magnus finds out Mallory’s death story and why she hates Loki and what she will do to him. Then, Blitz and Hearth appear. They found what they needed;they need Magnus for Hearth’s last encounter with his father.

Magnus learns about Halfhorn, Mallory, and TJ’s stories. Magnus, Jack, and Alex train Sam so she’ll be ready when they face Loki. Magnus had a dream where he saw Kvasir get killed and Alex’s dad mad at her for being gender fluid and not continuing the company. After they wake up and make it to Jorvik, they encounter a giant that wants to fight TJ and have a battle with a second, leading to Alex making pottery

Aesir will not kill them at the moment after finding out Magnus and the gang are trying to stop Loki, but he sends the giantesses after them. Magnus calls for help and gets Njord, his grandfather. He saves them then talks with Magnus, Hearth, and Blitz. Apparently they’re splitting up since Magnus will be with the others looking for the mead, while Hearth and Blitz will search for the whetstone.

Magnus starts to sail with Halfborn, Mallory, and TJ. They run into Sam, Alex, and Amir. Amir sees them off and reveals that him and Sam are participating in Ramadan. Next they go looking for Blitz and Hearth, but the nine sisters catch them and they’re kept by Aesir. Magnus frees Blitz and Hearth, but as they’re ready for dinner one of the sisters realizes that it’s Magnus, who Aesir is supposed to kill.

Magnus had trained with Percy to get ready for Loki and the Midsummer. Jack got attracted to Riptide too. Also Magnus had to go through Randolph’s house with Alex and there were so many wolf tracks. Looked like it was a lead to something and Randolph had a plan to stop Loki but Alex told Magnus not to trust anything. Now it seems everyone is headed to sea to get ready for Midsummer and stopping Loki
