Oh so THAT's how spells work... convenient! also, why do we not know this, I don't know... in the FIRST book???? when we talk about casting signatures in the first place and a lot.

The whole book reads like an afterthought and as if details were not at all thought out before writing book 1 and they had to be fixed in book 2

I can’t wrap my mind around how you explain things about the magic system, in the last half of the second book in a DUOLOGY, and have been referring to said aspect of magic for the whole series so far, like WHATTTT
