Mencia went to the town’s leader where she met a Tosu official and 3 other classmates. She was told that they were are selected to go into the Testing and they’ll leave first light tomorrow. One of her classmates ask if they didn’t have to go, and was told it’s a crime with a reward of death if they don’t go. Now Mencia is scared, and has to tell all her family and friends she won’t see them again for a long time.

The main character has just graduated. She did not get accepted for the testing, and she is very disappointed. After the graduation she partied with family and friends while still being sad and then went home. The next day she got summoned at the person that is in charge’s house.
