"The Mary Shelley Club" reminds me of the book "I Know What You Did Last Summer." Both books have a main group who has a secret they don't want getting out and there is one person targeting them to expose it. Also, the person targeting both groups is a hooded person chasing after them with a hook. "When he looked up, Sim's heart almost stopped. It was a Black Hoodie. Holding up a big-ass hook" (Moldavsky 218).

Rachel Chavez is the new girl at Manchester Prep and was told about a secret club that pulls horrific pranks on a person of their choosing to induct into their club. Rachel becomes fixated on this group and will do anything to join. I predict the club will choose Rachel. "At first it seemed like just, pranks, but there was also an element of horror in the club too...I knew I wanted to be a part of it" (Moldavsky 61).
