I’m trying. I really really am, but I just don’t think this is for me. The writing is… just not great. And this also isn’t a Romeo and Juliet retelling. This is thoroughly inspired by the rival families and that’s about it. Also, it’s not enemies to lovers; he already loves her. I wish I could’ve seen more of him hating her but he never does.

Yeah the writing’s not getting any better. It’s slightly purple and if it went all the way, it might work better. But it’s a mixture of purple and modern and it works against itself in the worst way. The story is interesting enough and I’m ready for some yearning.
