Took a while to get going, but the book is coasting now.
Funny how there are so many little ‘Pargin style thought-dumps’ in the book. Where characters expound on random ideas usually referencing pop culture. Basically exactly what he puts in tik tok videos but in the mouths of his characters.
All written in the same voice.

The Aliens pastiche zombie battle, is a tad overdone. Especially as Pargin seems to want to beat the audience over the head with how much he dislikes Zombie movie fans.

Been switching between the audiobook and the paperback. I think I prefer the voice in my own head. But it’s fine.
It’s funny revisiting this franchise how I forgot how outright batshit insane it gets with movie gore and body horror.
Also how utterly useless David and John are as protagonists which is kind of the joke.
