Not a smaller character swooping in to give me a kernel of hope after I’ve spent the whole book in despair & was maybe starting to come to terms with it!! Not falling for it!!! But wouldn’t it be nice…

Reading it you know that SLY has the nerve to destroy everything she’s built these past 900 pages. No way is this wrapped up in a non-decimating way in 100 pages. Can you tell I’m scared.

The amount of emotional processing I had to do yesterday was wild. Finishing a pinnacle chapter hiding round the corner from work and then having to function all day with this on my mind. Crazy. Part of me wished I’d saved this section for home so I didn’t get interrupted by people talking literal shit on the train. Will I do the same again today? Most likely. I take back what I said about part 2 being too long.

Okkk, I’m happy to still be in the past. Mental that I’m not even half through yet (yes, ok I’m close). I do imagine the rest of it is going to be very predictable but happy to be proven wrong/maybe that’s what makes it hurt so much?

It’s happened, I’m heaving around this tome. But now I have to read another 500+ pages to get back to the present day - dammit. Not to wish my life away or anything but that does seem a litttle long.

Think this is about to get its claws into me!!! Wish it wasn’t so large so I could carry it around with me (with any luck give me a few days and I will anyway)
