I am absolutely obsessed with the world building in this series. It's like cyberpunk but not, maybe biopunk? Surely someone has coined a term for settings like this. It does remind me so much of BioShock, not in any direct likeness but in how the foundation of the world is built. Like if BioShock was in a kaiju movie.
