Annual Halloween reading.

Welcome to October Country!

I have listened to this twice through so far. I love the mix of history, myth, innocence, and awareness of death. It is a rare Halloween book for grown ups.

I think I would have prefered a straight forward narration to a dramatization. The acting by the children is very wooden although it is nice to hear children doing children's voices.
