I’ll be honest, the cool cover sold this book to me. Upon reading it there were some interesting ideas but the characters were underdeveloped, I lacked feelings for them and some of the storyline was just naff, for example the romantic side. The setting of the book kept me reading until the end as the author created a compelling imagined costal town.
