My book is showing perspectives on both sides of this story. We are following a black girl who is among the first to come to the "whites-only" school. The story follows a white girl who goes to the whites-only school. They do get along together, and the story goes deeper into how the white children were raised by their parents. I think this is very interesting to see both POV in a time when only one is focused on.
