Eleanor wants her mom to beat cancer, she thinks that her mom is getting better but is actually getting worse.

She wants her mom to live, the thing thats in her way is cancer.

My setting is in the 2003, in this year people don't have phones like the ones we use to day to communicate but in the 2003 they would just go outside and communicate. I found that interesting.
