Her dad came in and asked her to help him with the project in San Diego. He asked her to come get breakfast with him at Caroline‘s bakery. She said nothing taste good anymore. But then she decided to get up and go. She asked if he had heard from him. He said no and I doubt he’ll want to hear from me anytime soon. She said you should hire him back. Her dad just knocked his knuckles against the frame of the door.

She said Jack texted her once two days after she left. He sent the pop dot recipe. And in return, she gave him all her files on Fable

A week passes. She gets tons of collab pitches. She can’t let go of the resentment toward her dad.

She wonders if Jack was only looking out for himself like Jessica said. She thought that he saw stuff in her. But maybe she was wrong. She just doesn’t know.

Her dad wants to talk to her but she doesn’t want to. Julia tries to convince her. And. Ow she is telling how she really feels. Being a backup to her. Etc. how’s she’s the best and she’s not.

She said she shouldn’t have pushed till he cracked. And that she loves him.

It’s been 3 or 4 days. She hasn’t seen her dad. And everytbjng reminds her of Jack. And how precise he was with food.

Douglas said he didn’t know how he felt about her. Jack says he needs to apologize to his daughter. Jack says he wants to go with them but he can’t give her what she wants and he can’t stand her leaving him again.

He said they could still be together. In New York or anywhere else. It’s just too much for him in Florida. She told him to stop punishing himself. And that’s not what she wants. She said she wants to be there. He said he can’t. She said can’t or won’t. He said don’t make me do this. That’s when she called him a coward. And told him that his career is not all he has.

He said maybe things would have gone different if he would have told her he was thinking of staying. And keeping fable.
