It’s actually crazy that the decentralized North American cities were the same size as cities in Europe but they painted this picture that the small community civs were so primitive compared to the still urban Central American and European cities

It’s interesting that the fall of the Huhugam is directly lore connected to the rise of the O’odham. It’s interesting how all over people redefine themselves culturally and separate themselves based on changes to society at large, even to the point where an old culture is considered ancient to a new one.

This is something I always have to remind myself not to subscribe to. Theres no one set pathway of civilization. So cool Native Americans in many instances went straight to democracy.

These city models are all so different and so stark in contrast to what existed in the more recent American history it’s gonna be interesting to see why they collapse. I wonder if it’s more environmental or intentional.
