something so unsettlingly disjointed about all of these narratives. also her description of learning writing 101 (grammar, structure) i think completely explains the extremely vanilla/boring writing style that has felt incongruent with how personal and emotive the stories are. the pacing is feeling very inconsistent to me. i am curious to see how these themes will mature/flesh out to conclude the book...
