I'm not having great luck with books lately. This is a book that came with a ton of hype when it came out 15 years ago. And that's long ago enough that what's "politically correct" was different. And yet I'm not able to gloss over: Lookism, orientalism, fatphobia, and a few other shit attitudes. Taylor is a good writer, but I'm not in love with her foundational standards and assumptions. Still reading for now.
